A Tribute to the Exhibition at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac
To celebrate the new exhibition at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, ZOMBIS. Is Death Not the End?, running until February 16, 2025, Café Jacques and its Chef, Florian Dannel, are teaming up with the talented Caribbean Chef Jean-Rony Leriche to deliver a culinary voyage infused with Caribbean flavors.
This exhibition, which delves into the mysterious and fascinating story of the zombie figure and its Haitian cultural roots, is complemented by a selection of Caribbean specialties at Café Jacques, located in the heart of the museum’s gardens. Visitors can further immerse themselves in this unique culture while enjoying the exhibition.
A Menu Inspired by the Caribbean
Inspired by the belief born in Haiti, Chefs Leriche and Dannel have crafted a menu that plunges diners into the heart of Caribbean, particularly Haitian, culture and cuisine. The exclusive creations include dishes like Salad of Fried Plantains with Pikliz and Griots, Soup Joumou, and Sweet Potato Fondant with Passionfruit Caramel. Each dish offers a generous palette of flavors and vibrant colors to explore.
Museum visitors will have the chance to savor authentic dishes while diving deeper into the fascinating phenomenon of zombies at Café Jacques.
