La Petite Venise

Vibrant, sun-kissed Italy
Nestled between the Apollo Basin and the Grand Canal, La Petite Venise is housed in historic buildings originally constructed under the reign of Louis XIV to serve as the royal fleet’s boatyard. Today, these storied walls welcome guests for an exquisite Italian dining experience.
A picturesque Italian table
Set in a charming, bucolic setting, the restaurant offers a menu inspired by the sun-drenched flavors of the Mediterranean coast, expertly crafted by Chef Romain Parisot. His refined dishes celebrate the essence of Italian tradition, best enjoyed after an aperitivo or a refreshing Spritz at the bar. The menu evolves throughout the year, embracing the rhythm of the seasons.
- Toasted focaccia, marinated beef, and balsamic onions
- Radiatori pasta, king prawns, bisque, and basil
A Southern-Inspired Renaissance
Originally built to house the royal gondolas used in the lavish nautical celebrations at Versailles, La Petite Venise also accommodated Venetian gondoliers and their families, entrusted with maneuvering this fleet with skill.
Now a designated historic monument, La Petite Venise has been reimagined as a chic and elegant trattoria, infused with the spirit of its first inhabitants. The renowned interior design agency Volume ABC, led by Aliénor Bechu, has created a space that blends festivity, conviviality, and a seamless balance of tradition and innovation.
During the warmer months, the shaded terrace of La Petite Venise is the perfect spot to share a leisurely lunch with friends.
