Café Pyramide: Mindful Cuisine beneath the Louvre Pyramid
OpeningAt Café Pyramide, everything serves the philosophy of ‘mindful cuisine,’ rooted in a sustainable approach: seasonal ingredients, French products, short supply chains, and plant-based dishes.
A Generous Menu
The chef presents a menu that is simple, vibrant, and authentic. Among the offerings are Prince de Paris rillettes, served with Pain du Louvre, kneaded and baked in the museum bakery located next to Café Pyramide.
The lettuce salad with confit poultry, duck gizzards, potato ‘grattons,’ and brown mushrooms pays homage to his roots. Cauliflower baked en papillote with a hazelnut crust and Espelette pepper is the vegetarian signature. A generous and sincere menu where each dish reflects a commitment to quality and sustainability.
In collaboration with Alain Ducasse, Vivien Durand revives the spirit of the Parisian bistro, reinterpreting iconic French dishes with creative, joyful, and responsible recipes.
A True Bistro at the Heart of the Louvre
The atmosphere of this contemporary bistro, understated and timeless, was designed by architects Marguerite Cordelle and Maël Esnoux of Studiokokumi. Cubic volumes in Poiseul stone, linen curtains from Le Perche, natural wood… The dining room extends the authenticity and ethical commitment of the cuisine.
