Our timeline
The origins of Musiam Paris date back to the early concession-based restaurant operators who began their activities in cultural venues during the 1980s.
1980's
Early Restaurants
The Compagnie des Wagons-Lits et du Tourisme, the predecessor of Musiam Paris, operated the first restaurants at the Château de Versailles, the Louvre Museum, and La Géode
1986
Musée d’Orsay
The first restaurants at the Musée d’Orsay opened in the very heart of Paris
1989
Musée du Louvre
Awarded the contract for the Louvre Museum restaurants, thanks to the expertise contributed by the Accor group
1997
Bibliothèque nationale de France
The first dining spaces at the Bibliothèque nationale de France – François-Mitterrand opened
2006
Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac
The restaurants at the Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac opened, including the rooftop, which would become a flagship restaurant celebrating the natural cuisine of Chef Alain Ducasse.

Musée de l’Orangerie
The café at the Musée de l’Orangerie opened within the Café-Boutique space.
