A chic break inside the Musée du Louvre!
Café Mollien, majestically housed on the first floor of the Denon Wing, occupies the landing of the Mollien staircase and its exceptional terrace, overlooking the Cour Napoléon, the Pyramid and the Carrousel garden.
Looking out over the galleries of French paintings, just a few steps from the Mona Lisa, Café Mollien offers a break on a terrace with a breathtaking view.
In a mineral décor of stone and marble, warmed by brass and bronze, under towering ceilings punctuated by imposing columns, Café Mollien was designed by Mathieu Lehanneur and is organised around a monumental pale pink light fixture, luminous and diaphanous, as if floating in the air.
The café offers a light menu of seasonal salads, hot soups in winter and chilled soups in summer, as well as a variety of sandwiches to heat up or take away and enjoy in the sunshine on the terrace. Ice cream and pastry creations are also available for those with a sweet tooth!
