The Terrasse du musée d’Orsay

A summer on the Terrasse du musée d’Orsay
Just beyond the Impressionist gallery, a new terrace opens out over the rooftops of Paris. Perched above the Seine, it boasts a breathtaking view that stretches across the entire Right Bank of the capital. Open throughout the summer season, the terrace features a champagne bar alongside a tempting selection of cocktails, served with small plates and indulgent snacks.
Champagne Bar and Summer Menu
- Viennese baguette with tzatziki and smoked salmon
- Tomato and mozzarella salad
Elegance and refinement
Inspired by the elegance of Art Nouveau and the iconic pavilions of Hector Guimard, the bar—designed by architects Denis Paszkiewickz and Claire Tournier of MP&C Réalisations—stands as the centrepiece of the space.
Seated comfortably on the terrace, sheltered from the bustle of the city, visitors are invited to take their time and soak in the view: the Louvre within arm’s reach just below, the splendid Tuileries Garden, the iconic Olympic Cauldron making its summer return, and on the horizon, the Sacré-Cœur, watching over the capital.
